Tumblr has been a real wild ride for me, man. Even through the many times over the years that I figured my blog could get deleted, it still feels really weird to imagine actually losing this blog and all the years of experiences I’ve shared on here.
The part of me that’s exhausted of fighting is about ready to simply let go and try to move on, but there’s a bigger part that can’t fully accept that all of the best parts of what Tumblr used to be for me and so many others are just…over, forever, ya know? They were over, in my opinion, long before this particular lazy management decision, but to know that it’s final (for me) is a bit rough.
Oh wellsies, guys. As much as I’ve been a snarky, dramatic asshole on this website, I have also really enjoyed much of my time here sharing my life & work with you, getting to know some of you as true friends (love ya, Joey!), and learning about myself & others in ways I don’t feel I’d have been as challenged to do elsewhere. It’s been really fucking great, because so many of you are really fucking great, and I’m going to be forever at least a little pissy that Tumblr & awful people just absolutely destroyed this place lol.
If what I’m seeing about Tumblr only hiding/removing posts and not outright deleting blogs is true…cool-ish? In that case, I guess I’ll see ya around, but this site still stinks lol :)
